Hello!
Welcome to the portfolio of the game design extraordinaire Michael Cammack!
I graduated from Full Sail University in Feburary 2022. While in school I learned a lot about the video game industry and how video games are made. Since then I have been trying to apply the skills that I've aquired by working on side projects.
On here you will find my school projects including projects that introduced me to level design, scripting in Unity, Unreal Engine, and producing a game from concept to completion.
You'll also find my side projects that I created by following different courses from GameDev.TV.
Stuff I learned After College
These are things I've worked on to learn Unreal Engine 5
Crypt Raider - Modular Level Design and C++ Scripting
In this course we created a level with UE5 using a free dungeon asset pack, coded a mover script to move objects, a grabber script to grab objects, and a trigger script to act as a pressure plate.
Environment Design and Cinematic Work with Unreal Engine 5
Following this course introduced me to the UE5 Editor and the landscaping tools so I could create a beautiful environment. Later we learned how to use the sequence editor which allows for cinematic shots.
Snowball Fight (Warehouse Wreckage)
In this course it introduced using blueprints and the physics engine allowing us to shoot a projectile and knock things over on impact. Instead of going for a warehouse design I decided to go for a backyard with snow and snowmen.
